Gift and Bequest

A gift and bequest is a combination of a current gift and a charitable gift made in your will or trust. It is an easy way to support a parish, school, ministry or fund held by the Catholic Foundation. When you include a gift in your estate plans to a Catholic mission or ministry, you will be making a grateful response to God for the abundant gifts he gave you throughout your life.

Benefits of a gift and bequest

  • Receive a charitable income tax deduction for your gift made to us this year
  • Continue to use and control your assets during your lifetime
  • Leave a lasting legacy through a bequest to support our work after you are gone

How a gift and bequest works

You can learn more about how to make a gift to support the Christ's work through many of the ministries serving the faithful in northeast Kansas by contacting us, visiting the pages of this website, or visiting cfnek.org.

A charitable bequest is a way to make your giving extend beyond your lifetime and be a witness to others of your generosity.

With the help of an attorney, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to your parish, a Catholic school or college you would like to support, or a ministry that you would like to thank.

Until you create your will or trust, you can become a member of the Catholic Legacy Society of Northeast Kansas by designating a parish, school, ministry, or the archdiocese by listing them as a beneficiary.
